Spring Bible Study

Philippians - The Joy of Living In Christ

Join us this Spring as we dive deep into Paul’s letter to the Philippians. Paul penned this letter sometime after being imprisoned in Rome, but not even his suffering could damper his enthusiasm for the immense joy he had experienced in Christ. His words encourage all believers today to live in the joy they have been given in Christ and to keep their eyes fixed on Him. Paul calls the believers to likewise draw on God’s strength during their times of trial.

Each week, you’ll experience:

• An optional $5 dinner and fellowship before Bible study starting at 5:30pm—come early!

• Live worship led by the Men’s Ministry worship band

• A powerful message from our teaching pastors

• Table discussion and prayer that helps you apply God’s Word alongside other men

Tuesday Nights | Starting Tuesday January 13, 2026

Dinner at 5:30pm | Study begins at 6:30pm

All men welcome. Don’t miss it.

The Tuesday Night Men’s Bible Study is essential to what we do in Men's Ministry. It is a group of over 450 men who gather weekly around round tables to worship, study God’s Word and discuss it together.

The agenda is simple. We begin with worship time led by the talented Men’s Ministry Band. This is followed by a 20-minute message taught by one of our staff pastors. The message centers around the book or study guide selected for the season.

This is followed by 45 minutes of discussion time. The discussion questions are taken from the selected study guide. All men are encouraged to purchase a copy of the study guide and complete the corresponding chapter before attending.

The night ends with prayer and announcements. And as with all good men’s gatherings, snacks and hot coffee are always provided.

There are currently 3 bible study seasons offered every year with short breaks in between. There is a spring, summer and fall study. The length of the studies range from 5-16 weeks long depending on the season.

In-person attendance is encouraged and recommended, but a live stream online option is available for those who are unable to join on campus.

LIVE STREAM LINK

Yes. There’s a small Bible study called “Fellows” that meets on Thursday Mornings from 9:30 - 11:00 am in Room 210 of the Generations Building. They are doing a study on prophecy and end times using the book, Escape the Coming Night by Pastor Jeremiah.

Events

Dangerous Man

The Dangerous Man for God event is a call to action—rallying men to reclaim their biblical calling, lead with purpose, and leave a legacy of faith and strength. Together, let’s be dangerous to darkness, apathy, and anything that stands against God’s Kingdom.

Men's Discipleship

In the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20) the Lord gave the command to make disciples, baptizing them and teaching them to observe all that He commanded.

Our Men's Discipleship Ministry provides the opportunity for men to meet with other men to help them grow in their Christian faith and walk.

  • Discipleship Coordinator Mark Joplin

A disciple of Christ is a student of Christ; he learns Jesus' words, he learns Jesus' way of ministry, he imitates Jesus' life and character, and then disciples others. Thus, a disciple is constantly growing in Christ and is seeking to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

The Discipleship Ministry begins with a 5-session commitment to meet one-on-one at a time and place agreed upon by both the disciple and discipler. Upon completion of the 5 sessions, by agreement, there is the opportunity to complete the full 13-session course.

Special Warfare Group

The mission of SWG is to motivate every Christian man to seek out a close, high-commitment group of 2-5 men who meet together weekly, face-to-face around the Word of God for accountability and encouragement.

KEY VERSE: Iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another (Proverbs 27:17)

If you are interested, fill out the form, and let us know if you would like to join an SWG, or start one yourself. Someone will get back to you soon to answer any questions you may have.

Chains 2 Change

The C2C Ministry helps the struggling man who wants to break the cycle of addiction and move forward into the mindset of action, accountability, and victory that can only be found in Christ Jesus. We want to see a generation of men fully healed, restored, and empowered in Christ rising as godly husbands, fathers and leaders who impact their homes, churches and communities with hope, strength and purpose.

“If any man is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things are passed away, behold, all things are new.” (2 Corinthians 5:17)

Fixers Ministry

Fixer’s Ministry is a group of handy volunteers from the Men’s Ministry at Shadow Mountain Community Church dedicated to helping widows/widowers and people in need with small to medium-sized projects. We make living environments better and safer for those in need by providing minor repairs and safety upgrades.

Life Safety Checks: We are doing free life safety checks for any widows/widowers and elderly who would like one. This includes, but is not limited to, checking smoke detectors, carbon monoxide monitors, burnt-out light bulbs, tripping hazards, fire hazards, gas leaks, etc. If we can serve you through a free life-safety check, click the "Request a Fixer" button, fill out the form, and someone from our fixers team will call you within 24 hours.

Repair Projects: If you have a small to medium size project that you think we can help with, including but not limited to hanging a picture, changing light bulbs, changing a garbage disposal, fixing a door that’s fallen off the hinges, fixing a loose railing, or correcting minor plumbing or electrical issues, etc. click the "Request a Fixer" button and someone from our fixers team will contact you within 24 hours.

Consultation: If you have a home project that is beyond our scope of work, such as a renovation or large project, and you need someone knowledgeable to help you communicate with contractors and make sure you are getting a fair deal, we can help with that too.

Recommendations: People have asked us for recommendations for contractors or skilled laborers for extra projects they have. Unfortunately, we are not able to make recommendations at this time.

Remodeling or Large Projects: This ministry is primarily about helping with small to medium projects that can be done in a day or less. Because this is a volunteer ministry of the church we are unable to take on large or long term projects.

Ongoing Maintenance: Most of our projects fall within the “one time” projects category. We are unable to commit to ongoing work or maintenance. (I.e. yard work or cleaning, etc.)

Serving Opportunities

We firmly believe that every man has the potential to make a significant impact in the lives of others, and our goal is to empower and equip each individual to fulfill their calling as men of God. We offer various opportunities for serving within the church and the broader community, enabling our members to put their faith into action and make a difference in the lives of others.

Join the first impressions team by greeting once a month or more at Men’s Bible study. Smile and firm handshake is all you need to qualify.

Lead a table of 6-10 men at the Tuesday Night Bible Study. Commitment is for one ministry year. Training Required.

Help set up and clean up for Tuesday Night's Bible Study and for special events!
